Blue Safari, Fumba Island

A truly magic day in Zanzibar starts off with us collecting snorkel gear and packing the bike for a mission to the other side of the island. There we met our crew for the day who were taking us exploring the outer sand banks off the west coast by local dhow.

Our first stop was a sand bank which had yet to be spoilt by a single footprint.

While we were out snorkeling and looking for Nemo, the guys set up a little shade tent and had a full fruit platter waiting.

After the healthy morning brunch we made our way to the next island where half of the crew had jumped ship and already prepared a full seafood feast with lobser, octopus, parrot fish and giant prawns.

After filling ourselves even more, we decided to explore the island. After heading towards the center we came accros massive old bao bab tree which had actually fallen down in a big storm and had then grown into five different trees. All in all it was one massive tree...HUGE.

After a few hour on land, it was time to hit the water again. With the sun setting and the local sails beeing hoisted, we truly felt like we had found paradise.
